Iceing on Top - Fine Childrens Jewelry

Creativity in children is important; it encourages free expression, problem-solving skills and open thinking. Creativity needs to be nurtured but not controlled
for children to thrive. Here are some tips to nurture creativity in your children. No matter what avenue you choose, remember to let your child take charge and be in control of his or her creativity.

* Encourage imaginary play; it fosters physical, mental, and social development.

* Opt for toys such as blocks, empty boxes and empty containers, which wont limit the way children are allowed to play.

* Provide children with the materials, but inspire open-ended art projects.

* Foster creative movement with or without music and encourage them to make their own music.

* Reading sends imaginations into overdrive and encourages children to think openly.

Concerns over Cadmium in Adult Jewelry too - PLEASE be aware!

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

Concern about the heavy metal cadmium in jewelry grew Tuesday as a California environmental group said new testing of adult necklaces and bracelets bought at three leading retailers, including Saks Fifth Avenue and Aeropostale, detected high levels of the toxic material — as much as 75 percent by weight.

Please read about the entire situation here.

Remember to buy socially responsible jewelry. Look for product made in the USA! Iceing on top makes all of its product out here in the USA of eco friendly products and manufacturing processes.
